PROCESS

Creating an amazing garden is a process that we'll undertake together. The process begins with asking questions, planning, and research. Building a garden is an evolution over time and I'll coach you on proper execution, and maintenance.

ON-SITE EVALUATION AND CONSULTATION

The first step in the process is to schedule an initial on-site consultation and site evaluation. At this meeting I will walk your property with you, discuss  your likes and dislikes about your garden, talk about your hopes for your garden, and answer any questions you might have about the process or caring for your plants. If you have ideas or photos of gardens that you like, bring them!

PROPOSAL

At the end of the on-site consultation, we'll determine the scope of the project and elements to be included in the plan. Factors that will be considered are the complexity of the site, size of the site, and level of detail of the desired plan. Upon agreement to the terms, we will schedule to begin work on your project.

SITE SURVEY

Next, we'll survey your site to take into account the existing planting and conditions,  and take measurements as needed. We will take photographs of the site to note existing garden elements and plants.

GARDEN CONCEPT AND PLAN

In the final step, I will develop a concept for the garden and prepare the final master planting plan. Depending on the scope of the project the plan can include a planting plan and/or a site layout plan. A presentation with plant photos, botanical and common names, quantities, and maintenance guidelines are included.
